Anson: Good! Let’s start our meeting. First of all, I would like to welcome you all to the meeting. Today, We are going to discuss some promotion strategies that we can use and the methods of cost reduction in order to save our company from closing down. You should all have a copy of the agenda by email, right? [Yes] You can see from the agenda that we have a lot to go through. Let’s try to finish it as soon as possible. Heidi has agreed to take the minutes. Shall we start from talking about the suggestions for promotion strategies? Billy, would you like to start first?

Billy: I suggest that we should promote our company by making some advertisements in the wedding magazines. It is because ladies love reading wedding magazines when they prepare for their wedding. Therefore, I believe promoting our designs in wedding magazines is an effective method as they can find out more information about our company directly. Kitty, what do think if we make the promotions in wedding magazines?

Kitty: I hate to disagree, but I don’t really believe that doing promotions in wedding magazines is suitable. It is because we have done promotions in wedding magazines before; the results don’t seem so effective. I think we would try to promote our products and services on websites and blogs of wedding planners. The Internet is one of the most convenient media to transfer messages to people. Also, people like surfing the Net when they need information or references. Therefore, the Internet can attract young couples and expand our market.

Anson: I agree with you. Youngsters always surf the Net to search for what they want. I believe it can help to attract new customers. Besides, how about joining the Wedding Expo in June? As the Wedding Expo attracts many couples to visit every year, it is a good opportunity for us built up our brand name and promotes the packages to couples.
