Samsung SWOT analysis

Introduction: Different from other electronic companies, Samsung is not originated from electronics but from other products. In 1938, the founder of Samsung, Lee Byung Chull established a trade export company in Korea. At the beginning, the company sold fish, vegetable, and other groceries to China. Started from 1969, Samsung has started to sell what now familiar to people, electronic devices such as but not limited to TV, radio, computer, and semiconductor to the customers. From that, Samsung has adapted to the trend of IT industry, and the company scale gradually grown. (Samsung history.(n.d). para 1,2,3,4).

Strengths
Good reputation
Samsung is focused on producing superior products to the customers. Its superior performance allows Samsung to be one of the most successful IT companies in the world. Samsung is the current market leader in the smartphone. And the reputation from the customers and IT experts is one of the factor that Samsung is an outstanding IT company. Recently, Samsung has introduced a brand new smart phone “Galaxy 6” to the customers, and the result is successful. According to the review from an author he quoted:” I just didn’t expect the Samsung Galaxy S6 to be this good.” (Gareth, B. (Oct, 22, 2015). para 1, 2, 3). Not only this article, there are plenty of reviews prove that Samsung’s products are well-made and reliable.
Competitive cost
Basically, when the customers planning to purchase electronics devices, price comes first to their minds. And Samsung has competitive costs for its products and high quality. For example, comparing the price of Galaxy S6 and iPhone6, since they are most frequently compared by the customers, the average price of iPhone 6 is much higher than that of other. Samsung dominates in lower-cost sectors where Apple does not play. Samsung largely gained its strong position in China by offering second-hand, cheap phones....
