CONSERVATION OF WILD LIFE

The day we all friends started to know the world around us specially   about the living beings, living things, non-living things from our Parents, Teachers, books, from Discovery and National Geographic T.V. Channels. We came to know about the animals like domestic animals, wild animals, birds, various types of fish in Oceans. The animals around us like cow, buffalo, cat, dog, donkey etc are domestic animals. The animals living in forest, jungles like Lion, tiger Elephant, Rhinoceros, Leopard, Monkey etc are wild animals.

We all know the Human beings are the most intelligent and powerful among all the creatures. To fullfill there needs human-being is creating a threat to the whole ecological system for example to the wild life living in the forest.

Our Country India is known as land of forests, Rivers and having all types of wild species. These Wild animals are facing a threat from Us -THE MOST INTELLIGENT SPECIES. In the name of development, human being is destroying the nature. We are cutting Trees, occupying the forest land for houses, roads, Industries   & for various entertainment purposes. We are killing the wild life animals for small benefits like:

Lion and Tiger – for making some medicines, and their skin for leather jackets, etc.
Elephant : We are poaching them for tusks to make ornaments.

Day by day Wild life animals like Tiger, Lion, Elephant, Crocodile, Rhinoceros, Leopard population is becoming less and less in numbers and soon our next generation will not see the animals mentioned.

I want to put some interesting facts here,

  1) In 19th Century Tiger Population was 45,000 now in 2010 it has only 1000 approximately.
  2) Lions during Independence were around 500-600 now in 2010 it has only 400 in Gir forests.
  3) In 19th Century Elephant population was 1lac 13thousand , it has come down to 23,000 across the country.
  4) Rhinoceros – now only around 2000 exist alone in Assam.

We Human beings...
