College Promt #2

Some of the many qualities I pride myself upon are being ambitious, hard working, and responsible. To be successful in life, you need to work hard. Fortunately, I picked up on that very quickly. Going into high school, I played many sports in which I excelled. Baseball was not one of them. I didn’t start playing baseball until my first year of high school. Due to the fact that I started so late, I had a lot of ground to make up in comparison to kids who had been playing since they were 6 or 7. I didn’t start playing until I was 15. The coaches and the other players noticed my determination so much, that they nick named me “hard work”. Surprisingly, I was also the first kid in my class to make the varsity team. Although I was placed in a situation where I faced adversity, I still found a way to get through it with hard work and perseverance.
I like to think of that as just a small example of how I am able to overcome challenges. Each step in life is a chapter, from elementary school to high school, all the way to your final career goal. So far I have succeeded each obstacle in life that I have encountered. From my parents divorce at the age of seven, to high school, and now receiving good grades in college. I know with continued work, desire, and perseverance that I will continue to succeed through each chapter in life.
