Independent   India   : Emergence of a new women
The recent attack on girls and young   women in a pub In Bangalore on the eve of valentine day   celebration by a hindu outfit called ‘ram sena’(Of course ! for it’s this   evil deed   it better deserves to be called   Ravan sena) deeply hurt   our honorable Minister of women and child welfare . Hence   the exasperated minister rebuked   this attack   vociferously with her overwhelming remark that this incident   has marked the beginning of an era of talibans in   our society   .
Unfortunately, for such ,so called ‘sarcastic’ remarks, the   hon’ble minister had to face a contempt suit,   filed by the city mayor of Bangalore .
Not only this, the furious minister invoked the valentine celebrators with the slogan of ‘pub bharo’ ,further so that the nefarious design of these conservative outfits to malign the girls and women could be countered better .
This reaction by hon’ble minister and other social Women speaks volumes about the renaissance that has dawned on our new age woman of our Indian society .
Definitely Our woman has gone a complete revolution in her attitude AND IN her APPROACH in the   previous 60 years of   independence .  
To day’s woman is equally assertive and believes in expressing herself .
Let us have a peek on   her journey from pre-independent to post-independent India.
Our Indian woman during the freedom struggle took their fight not only against the British but also against other   many social evils which were rampant in the society in those times . One of the such evil against which these brave ladies fought valiantly was Drinking  
. This is the evil that haunted those woman to their plight since time immemorial. Which not only robbed   her households   of its     peace and tranquility   but   sometimes robbed   her of even her last penny . At innumerable times   it usurped the hard earned money saved by these   housewives to meet the contingencies and emergencies.   For the simple reason that the die hard...
