The work principle

The way a natural gas fired boiler works is very simple, gas is pumped to a point under the boiler where it fuels a flame. The flame heats the water in the boiler to produce steam or hot water which is then pumped throughout the home to provide heat. Many of the older boilers in use in some parts of the country will have been converted from oil or coal to natural gas. There are two kinds of natural gas boiler in wide use steam boilers and hot water boilers.
Steam boilers heat the water to a high temperature to product steam while hot water boilers produce hot water. Hot water boilers may also be used to produce hot water for bathing as well as heat.

Gas Fired Boiler Safety

There is absolutely no no danger of the gas leak or explosion from your modern gas fired boiler as long as it really is operating properly. Should the indicator lamp is burning plus the gas lines are in good shape a homeowner should have not worry about.Really the only the perfect time to worry is if you smell gas, natural gas and propane enjoy a nasty smelling additive included with them that anyone should notice. If you notice a bad rotten smell that reminds of rotten eggs you're smelling gas. Once you smell gas immediately extinguish all open flames and out all cigarettes.

Then call the gas or propane company immediately. One of their technicians should turn out and look into the system to be sure there is absolutely no leak.If your pilot light using a gas burning boiler dissapear, always smell for gas. When you smell gas don’t try and light the pilot burner till the smell disappears. Should the smell doesn’t go away completely call the natural gas or propane company immediately.
