Dear Sir or Madam,

I am honored to be a recipient of the Pay for RBC Foundation Scholarship. I thank you for your generous support for this award, which encourages the outstanding senior students in Shantou University.

I am a senior law school student, who has got the 2010-2011 RBC Foundation Scholarship. To be an outstanding lawyer is my dream. During the past year, I worked very hard and got the first-prize scholarship in my academic performance. I am eager for new knowledge, and I also get interested in learning more about common law. For this reason, I have taken part in Shantou-MicGill Law School Exchange Program in May, 2010, which has provided me with a precious chance to know about a different legal culture. To improve my logical thinking and legal writing skills, I also took part in a variety of academic activities last year, such as English legal writing contest, English speech contest and debate contest. All these acticities have shaped my legal viewpoint as well as developed my confidence considerably.

Apart from academic performance, I actively took part in different kinds of extra-curricular practice, for example,volunteer camping, as well as professional internship,etc. During my internship in the Second People’s Court in Dongguang City, I worked as a Litigation Guide there for two months. The practice not only allows me to experience the way in which people deal with cases through the court system first-hand, but also tells me what kinds of legal person the society calls for. As a graduate, I think all these experiences are of great significance for me to make a better preparation for the challenges in the future.

As far as I am concerned, this scholarship has a special meaning. Because it is not only a big pay, but also stands for a great honor and affirmation to my efforts. I will cherish the scholarship and spend the money in the right way. I believe every student who gets this...
