How Society Has Benefitted From Communication Technology
How many forms of communication technology have you used today? I have read my emails and text my husband. I used Skype to talk with my aunt in Florida and faxed my time sheets to work. Society, as a whole, has benefitted from communication technology. They are able to stay in touch with family and friends easier. Being able to get the necessary information to complete their day to day tasks is another reason why the communication technology has been beneficial to society. We also have more time to spend each day on other things, thanks to communication technology.
The benefit of being able to stay in touch with my family and friends easier and quicker has been wonderful. I no longer have to rely on the old way of mailing things to my family. I can just drop them an email through the internet. Another way, I have been able to keep in touch with my family is through social networks. Social networks, like Facebook and Twitter, allow me to instantly post pictures for my family and friends to see. I can also play games against my family and tease them when they are losing on these social networks. I can do this even when they live in another state. When I use programs like Face Time and Skype, I am able to see my family, not just talk to them. I have my daughter check in with me using these programs. When she does check in I am able to see where she is and what she is doing.
I feel communication technology has been beneficial to me when it comes to getting the necessary information I need to complete my day to day tasks. I can see what my daughter’s grades are and what assignments she has. I am able to see which of her assignments need to be completed and turned before the end of the week. Communicating with my daughter’ teacher has become much easier. We often communicate through emails. The teacher can post the assignments for the week to everyone at the same time. She is able to put links to different...
