Carbon Audit

NTRODUCTION:
Every one knows the NEWTON’s III law, “for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”.Likewise,emission of carbon from our environment returns us a big threat.We people must think of it then we have to act to that.Only creating awareness of those things cannot make people do it properly.From basic things every one must act without fail.lets see the necessary things and our college’s support to make our earth healthier.

CARBON FOOTPRINT:
Carbon footprint is defined as the amount of green house gases (carbondioxide[C02],methane[CH4])emitted from various sources of energy like human resource,automobiles,industrial and domestic consumption,etc..It is also known as ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT. “A measure of the total amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) emissions of a defined population, system or activity, considering all relevant sources, sinks and storage within the spatial and temporal boundary of the population, system or activity of interest”is the defenition given by great persons. There are different methods to calculate it. Several free online carbon footprint calculators exist, with at least one supported by publicly available peer-reviewed data.We calculated our campus carbonfootprint with those caculators.

NEED FOR CARBON FOOTPRINTING:
Without proper planning we can’t execute a work in good manner.Likewise without carbon footprint calculation,we can’t take proper remedial measures to save our earth.In the world,most of great scientists are warning us about global warming which leads to unimaginable disasters.To know about position of the global temparature we must know our carbon emission.Because,carbon in the atmosphere traps the heat from the sun and keeping the heat there which makes earth warmer and warmer.

EMISSION OF CARBON FROM VARIOUS SOURCES:
There are various sources from which carbon is emitted.for example:electicity production industries,steel plants,nuclear power plants,chemical...
