Eniac

Have you ever known about the ENIAC? this computer is the beginning of the technology we have today. The first computer was huge about a few 100 feet and about 13 feet tall, it also has many miles of wiring and many buttons, lights, and switches. I think this computer was a very hard to control due to all the switches and buttons to control. I will be talking about information about the computer, computers followed up by the ENIAC and how computers and technology can progress and how advanced we can get in technology science.

I will begin with facts about the ENIAC Short for Electronic Numerical Integrator. The people who created the ENIAC are John Mauchly and J. Presper Eckert. The ENIAC was created in the university of pennsylvania in 1946 The ENIAC had 600 miles of wiring, couple hundred switches and buttons, and weighed 30 tons. I think this computer was a very slow computer because it had to be reset automatically and used again. The ENIAC also consumed a lot of electricity about 160 kilowatts a day for it to run, The ENIAC took up 680 square feet. The total cost of the ENIAC was about 500,000 Dollars (about 6 Million dollars in the present time). This computer could perform a task that one man could do in 20 hours and 5 minutes in a shorter amount of time. The ENIAC also was used to calculate world war II bombs that were coming to America.
