“The 1832 report into the working
Conditions of children in the factories
Shows that children worked in terrible
Conditions”. Do you agree?

There is some evidence to suggest that the report into children’s conditions in factories is useful. Because children had to go school every single day on and, on and on they had cuts on their arms when they came out. They had blood on their top or trousers . However there is more significant evidence that suggest this report was inaccurate and selective Is useful for example children had to start work at 5:30 am in the morning and if they are late they probably would be fired, which you would expect for a young children to be late. They cant even get a little rest because they have to work like little robots from day and night. And they don’t even get enough money to help 1 person. So how are they going to help the rest of their family. However they don’t learn anything just buy picking things up from the floor with there little fingers, making, or fixing things. And if they don’t educate they wouldn’t be able to get a better job. So they could get money like that.

On the other hand there is some evidence to suggest that the report into children’s conditions in factories is useful. However there is more significant evidence that suggest this report was inaccurate and selective evidence is not useful for example children chose to do this job so its not our fault that they cant do this and that.
However they have agreed to come in at 5:30 am in the morning because they came and accepted the rules. And if they don’t do it they will get fired.

The report is of some use to historians who wish to show that the working conditions of children in the 1830’s were terrible. Fro example children could only go to the toilet 3 times day so they have to hold it and not go toilet or they could get told off. And there money could go down they could even get half of what they get. However children are forced to work harder...
