While Greg was looking at his dad mow the lawn he came up with a great idea!
His lawn mowing business is going to work on the winter to clean up snow.
Back at home Greg walks into Manny’s room and noticed that he had a jar filled with cash and had 175$ written on it over a posted note.
Greg’s birthday came and all he wants a dog and all his family members tried to encourage his dad but the answers was no. Greg is filled with excitement because he’s going to the beauty salon today and he’s going to hear more gossip.
Later in summer Greg gets into a fight with Rowley cause Greg didn’t tell Rowley about his birthday which Rowley didn’t know about. Greg’s mom starts forcing him to hangout with his dad and he feels extremely awkward about it.

Greg’s mom invites Fregly over and Greg hides from him and so he had no choice but to leave and not ask questions. Greg’s birthday passed months ago but his parents did not forget about one of his most wanted gifts. They gave Greg a wrapped heavy present. It was a sign to Greg that it’s something good. Greg got a cell phone but not the one a 12yr old would want. He got a ladybug phone .It only has 2 dials 911 and home. Which was pretty useless to him.

Greg’s family came to the mall. Just to look like always. Then they entered a pet store. Greg thought this was his shot to get a dog but Roderick bumped in and always was talking about a snake I the store. Than their mom gave them both 5$.
And so they went out on the hunt to buy a cheap pet. Greg bought an angelfish and Roderick bought the opposite and the only reason he bought it as that it was tagged with the word aggressive on it.   Greg made a diary for the fish, which was a waste cause it did nothing.

The end of the summer came and Greg’s brothers band had a gig. Greg could’ve tell that his band did not practice cause they didn’t know what song to play and the best part for Greg was that they performed in a day care center for many and all the kids threw balls at...
