Have you ever had a person that influenced you so much that you wanted to be them? When you have a role model you have more determination to be just as good as them if not better. An influence on a person is an advantage to them in all aspects.
My influence is my Uncle Geoffrey for his amazing bowling talents. My grandpa the person I bowl with all the time said “It feels just like bowling with your uncle all over again.” So I guess I have some talents from my uncle which is great for me. I’ve been bowling for about two years now; my average is 177 which is pretty good. I would like to bring up my average to a 190 this bowling season. My uncle Geoffrey had a 225 average when he stopped bowling. The reason he stopped was because his son and work are his main responsibilities now. He also doesn’t bowl because he is very competitive in bowling and wants to make some money. So he bowls every now and then just for fun. I hope in the future they make it competitive for his sake so he can some fun and make extra money. The only downfall for me is that he lives in Idaho and I live in well New York. So it’s rare to see him and it’s even rarer to bowl with him. So I guess he is an influence from a distance. But at least I still have a role model to look up to. So being that I am one of the lucky ones to have a role model, I hope that everyone can eventual have a person to look up to. So one can conclude that having a role model in your life is really important to some people.
