Favourite Sports Cricket

What is your favorite sport? Give two or three reason

          Many sport games are interesting and joyful. But the game I like the most is cricket. I not only enjoy playing this game but also love to watching it. However in India cricket is very popular sport and played by youngsters under the age of 14-16.   Cricket was first played in southern England in the 16th century. By the end of the 18th century, it had developed into the national sport of England. By the mid-19th century the first international matches were being held. The ICC(international cricket council ) the game's governing body, has 10 full members. The game is played particularly in many countries in the world. But in India people like this game more then any country.
                Firstly, cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field, at the center of which is a rectangular grassyfeild. One team bats, trying to score as many runs as possible while the other team bowls and fields, trying to dismiss the batsmen and, thus limit the runs scored by the batting team. However, a run is scored by the striking batsman hitting the ball with his bat, running to the opposite end of the pitch and touching the crease there without being dismissed. The teams switch between batting and fielding at the end of an innings. Whereas, cricket can be played as a one-day match and as a five-day test match’s. While, it is a long day game and one of the most exciting sport in the world even a one-day match runs for around eight hours.
              Secondly, I know cricket and love it because of my favourite player yuvraj .He is the oxygen of modern day cricket. Cricket game has produced many legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Imran khan, wasim akram, Ricky Ponting and many more. Some are famous for batting while some for bowling. Jhonty Rhodes, a former South African player was the best fielder of cricket.
