In this article Republicans introduce a program that will cut 40 billion dollars in food stamps Democrats also proposed a cut also but it was 10 billion.   Both programs are over a 10 year span.   The republicans say that the extreme amount is because all the fraud and austerity.   That doesn’t make much sense though.   They probably didn’t consider how many elderly, children and disabled peple this will ultimately starve.     The amount of people on food stamps fluctuates with economy.   When people have jobs, less people use food stamps when people are out of jobs, more people are on food stamps and currently, more people are out work.
