10 Commandments Paper
In this statement, it is said that "The 10 Commandments are not just a list of Do's and Don'ts   -They are Divine guidelines for faithful living". This statement means that the 10 Commandments are not just a list of rules of what to do and what not to do, it was a guide by God to show the people how to live their lives faithfully. The Commandments also summarize the Law.
The first commandment is “I, the Lord, am your God . . . You shall not have strange gods before me”. This commandment means that I will always put God before myself and other people, and that I keep my loyalty to God strong. That means that I am more loyal to God than to my success, popularity, etc.
    The second commandment is “You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain”. This commandment means that I will always honor and always respect God's name, and that I will respect all that is holy.
The third commandment is “Remember to keep holy the Lord’s day”. This commandment means that on the Lord's day, I will remember to go to church on Sunday and to renew my spiritual state of being through prayer on the Lord's day.
The fourth commandment is “Honor your father and your mother”. This commandment means that I will always respect and obey both my mother and father. This means that I will also obey my parents' wishes, other family members, and other people who have authority over me.
The fifth commandment is “You shall not kill”. This commandment means that life is a beautiful gift from God and that I will never take that gift away from anyone. This commandment also means that I will do nothing to harm others or myself, and that I will give support and love to those who need it.
The sixth commandment is “You shall not commit adultery”. This commandment means that I will respect myself and my sexuality. That I will not tell any inappropriate jokes, watch inappropriate movies or visit pornographic websites on...
