Advantages and Disadvantages of Laptop computers

Laptop computers come in a variety of configurations. Most normal components of a laptop, must be manufactured differently than their desktop equivalents due to the components needing to be smaller and able to perform the same functions with less space and power. Because of this, laptop computers are normally more expensive than equivalently desktop systems due to the higher expense of manufacturing.
Laptops are convenient but also have disadvantages compared to desktops. Laptop computers are difficult to repair, upgrade or modify. While storage drives and RAM are usually accessible because these are the things you will most likely upgrade, it is often difficult to modify or replace your CPU, graphics chip or motherboard. These jobs will usually require professional technician. Additionally, while in a desktop computer the possible configurations are almost unlimited, laptop configurations are very limited to those provided by laptop manufacturers.
Laptops have lower space requirements than desktops. Because a laptop is a complete computer, you aren’t dependent on peripherals like mouse, keyboard and monitor, although you can easily add these things and even plug your laptop into a larger monitor or TV. They are far more portable than desktop PCs, perfect for students and mobile professionals if they need to access email or Internet while away from their home.
The portable nature of laptops increases the vulnerability of our data. Special features have been developed that can help protect our data. We should always create login account and password to protect our data. Also we should be wary of unsecured wireless networks, which are easy for maliciously minded people to access our personal information.
