20 Things About Myself

Listing twenty things that I admire and like about myself was not a simple task to complete.   After consulting with neighbors, friends, family, and just about anyone who would stand still long enough to ask their opinion I have come up with the following qualities that I and others around me admire.   The first would have to be that I am a good mom.   I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past nine years and have been raising three young children.   Another aspect of being a good mom is that I am also very loving and nurturing.   I never leave the house without saying “I love you” to my children and giving them a hug and a kiss.  
I am also a good friend, and very dependable.   I am there for my friends whenever they need me even if it is 3 a.m. and they are 25+ miles away.   Part of being a good friend is also being a good listener which I am as well.   I find myself very easy to talk to, and can hold up my own end of the conversation as well.  
I have been married for 9 years and am also very loyal to my husband.   I try to do everything I can for him since he is a very hard worker as well.   Another quality that has helped in my marriage is that I am funny.   My husband and I both have a good sense of humor and that has helped us out on more than one occasion.   Marriage has also taught me to be forgiving and to try not to go to bed angry.   It doesn’t always work, but I get an “A” for effort.  
I am an animal lover to the extreme.   After high school, I moved to Indiana and volunteered my time at a rescue facility for exotic cats, bears, wolves, foxes, and coyotes.   At that time I learned what dedication it takes rescuing animals that can no longer be cared for by others.   And the persistence it takes to put food in their mouths when money is not readily available in a non-profit facility.   If it was my choice I would have a house full of animals that I had rescued from various places.   Luckily it is not only my choice.
