There are hundreds of different diets going around recently. Diets can vary from eating only fruit every two hours to eating a meal every three hours. Most of these diets do work. People need to understand how participating in these diets will not work if proper motivation and exercise is not involved. Probably the most popular diet would be the Jenny Craig diet. Even though this diet works great for most people, the Jenny Craig method still has its problems. Most people who have been on diets have heard of the grapefruit diet. The grapefruit diet entails that a person must eat half of a grapefruit or drink eight ounces of grapefruit juice with each meal. My mother, who has tried many different diets and failed many times found Optifast 900. Optifast 900 has helped my mother lose thirty pounds. People speculate that the best way to succeed in losing weight is to go on a diet. Going on a diet is great, but if exercise is not part of the diet, then weight will most likely not be lost.
The Jenny Craig diet claims that participants will lose two pounds per week. This diet has a personalized meal and exercise plan for each participant, plus one on one counseling sessions with a Jenny Craig consultant. These consultants are not nutrition specialists; anyone who is health orientated and customer focused can attend a training course and become a certified Jenny Craig consultant. These consultants talk to participants in person or on the phone once a week. The consultants job is to motivate, check how the previous week went, and help with choosing the next week’s meal plan. The diet ranges from 1,200 to 2,300 calories a day, and is designed around your current weight, fitness habits, motivation level, and tendencies to stress eat. The diet consists of pre-packaged meals for the first three months. After the pre-packaged meals, the participants will begin cooking for themselves twice a week.
