Stockport school is a very exciting school with exactly 992 students in this school. Stockport school opened in 1888 then in 1938 it relocated to the old Stockport grammar building on mile end lane which is its current location.

The seven forms are named after artists who are: Da Vinci, Goldsworthy, Esher, Klee, Riley, VanGoph and Picasso. These names were chosen because Stockport school is an arts college.

After form time (9:15 or 9:35 on a Thursday) you will have your period 1 lesson that will end at 10:05 or on a Thursday it will end at 10:20, then your period 2 lesson will start and will end at 10:55 or 11:05 on a Thursday, then brake will begin then will finish at 11:15 or 11:25 on a Thursday. Look in your planner on page 19 for more times.

All the subjects you are taught are:
Science, IT, literacy, design technology, English, French, geography, seal, P.E., maths, PSE, R.E., art and design, music, and Day 10.

On Day 10 you will have numerous activities that will encourage you to do things more, such as English and maths and it also gives you a break from all of the lessons you have throughout school. At the start of the day your form tutor will give you the location where your activities will begin.

When you have your English lesson it will usually take place in the J block which is a separate building to the main building and also R.E. will take place there as well and room 131. The IT corridor is above the main stairs and music is usually in the octagon (another building that is separate to the main building). The maths corridor is in the middle of the school, literacy is in the library which is in the main building next to the octagon. PSE is next to the playground on the left the art corridor is up the main stairs and turn left then you’ll have the rooms on the right.
