This quote has given me inspiration. Everyone has a dream. However, sometimes the dreams are overshadowed with fear. The fear that they are overshadowed with is failure. Unfortunately, we only have one life to live and in this life not everyone is able to overcome the fear they may have of failing. I believe, that not trying at all is a failure in itself.
For the first time, I finally realized that I haven’t exactly been the happiest. I cheered all throughout middle school, high school and even before that on recreational teams. I didn’t realize how much of an impact this specific sport had on my life. I put so much time and dedication into this and I didn’t realize that not having it in my life would make me feel so different. I finally understand that sometimes you have to let go of all of your fears, and do what you want for yourself. I decided that I am going to work hard to get back in the shape that I need and tryout for the cheerleading team. I hear all of the time, from previous girls that tried out, that it was so scary and intimidating. I finally am seeing pass that and realizing that life itself is this way, and that doesn’t stop any of us from living it.
You miss 100% of the shots you didn’t take. I am a strong believer of this because I already feel that my freshman year is wasted in the football stands when I belong on the field doing what I am so passionate about. In the end, we should all go and do something that we love. Although it may not always make us comfortable, it’ll wind up making us happy.
