        REAL LIFE APPLICATIONS
          OF TRIGNOMETRY:

1) NAVIGATION & ASTRONOMY:
Triangulation is an application of trigonometry is used by astronomers to calculate the distance to the nearby stars. In geography, it is used to measure distance between landmarks. It is also used in satellites for navigation. For example:
A pilot taking off from Dubai has to know the angle to takeoff and angle to learn from which he has to turn the plane to reach a certain destination.
2) ARCHITECTURE:
Mathematics makes the design of buildings safer and more accurate. Trigonometry is especially important in architecture because it allows the architect to calculate distances and forces related to diagonal elements. Of the six functions in basic trigonometry, the sine, cosine and tangent are the most important to architecture because they allow the architect to easily find the opposite and adjacent values related to an angle or hypotenuse, translating a diagonal vector into horizontal and vertical vectors.  

REAL LIFE APPLICATIONS
OF PROBABLITY:

Aristotle once said, “The probable is usually what happens.”
You cannot predict the future but you can use mathematics probability to determine how likely it will be. People often use probability to make some small choices in their life. We may not realize but we use this in many facets of life.  
1) SPORTS
In cricket before the match starts captains of 2 teams come out for a coin toss to select batting or bowling in their innings. Both captains have 50% chances of winning. A basketball player steps up to the free throw line and has good idea based on past performance whether he will make the shot.
2) CASINO GAMES:
Casino owners aren’t in the business to lose money. The odd are in their favor. Gamblers play the games in hope of defying these odds. In games of black jack a player has 1 in 20 chance of getting 21, a blackjack has probability of winning is 5%.
