Distance education delivered over the internet or television has more advantages than classroom-based education. Do you agree or disagree?

With the rapidly advanced technology, distance education relying on telecommunication and other modern technology is increasing popular to be used to replace classroom-based education. Therefore, the question about which approach has more benefits draw public attention at a worldwide scale. This essay will explore the pros and cons of the approach mentioned above and give my own points.

It is clear that distance education is more convenient and effective as canceling the process of attending school with bus, bicycle or other transports. It also makes it possible for the student living aboard to gain the same knowledge as those who dwell near the school. Moreover, the other important reason for long-distant education is at the level of economic, education, associated with televisions, videos and computers, reduce the cost of setting facilities and infrastructures, because the data can be used many times.

However, the opposite people also have significant evidences to prove that the existing classroom-based education should not be replaced. It is a general belief that teaching in the classroom can achieve better effect among different student, because the teacher and tutors may change their teaching approaches to adapt to different characteristics of students and meet their various expectations. From the individual perspective, school is a micro-society and it is an important and valuable experience for students, which is not available for him or her staying at home just with parents. For example, the team works develop the team sprite and the leadership ability, staying in a group contributes to expend the horizon and communicate with kinds of people.
