|Some people claim that parents should reduce their children`s time in watching TV and enhance their studying hours because TV   |
|programs are useless for their homework. But in fact, youngsters are able to learn large amount of skills that are not contained|
|in textbooks when enjoying themselves during watching TV.                                                                       |

|Even though it`s likely some TV programs such as entertainments and farces are waste of time, most of the series are of great   |
|significance for students. Since we cannot experience everything all by ourselves, TV programs are the major sources for us to   |
|see the world. In general, children who live in North American will spend most of the childhood in their hometown and have few   |
|opportunities to travel to other areas or countries. Therefore, how could they acquire the knowledge about the life of polar     |
|bears or the formation of glaciers? There is no better way to do so than watching TV programs such as Planet Earth from BBC.     |
|Thus, children do benefit by watching TV.                                                                                       |
