In the past few decades, the issue whether watching television is detrimental for children’s both body and mental has aroused a hot discussion among the world. The people with various backgrounds hold different views according to this problem. From my point of view, watching television appropriately is beneficial to children on the whole.(Good sentence)!
As a type of modern media, television plays a crucial role in the communication between children and their busy parents. For instance, parents could know more about their kids’ thoughts via some attractive educational shows like parent-offspring programmers. The children, in turn, could also find the best way that helps them to be close to their moms and dads subconsciously.
Apart from that, It is apparent that various television programs might lead to broaden their horizon from many fields. It has become possible for them to absorb information in which they could find interests through viewing TV programs related to the wild animals and rare plants, undoubtedly which provides them with a wider perspective to know the outside world. To some extent, they experience the diversified magical nature by watching TV though it's still early for them to go some tough places.
However, we could not deny the negative effects when the children are sitting in front of television. Over much watching might contribute to short eyesight , obesity and also limit child's imagination of the ability to explore the unknown world.

Generally speaking, it's necessary for children to watch TV program according to their time schedule made by the parents. Just as what i pointed above, television has become a major information source and children should utilize it. But on the opposite, it's a common sense that we should keep the "watching TV time" in a proper limit. Only if we control the time, the children would grow up happily and healthily.
